Straight answers
- What is a conversation allowance?
- Each plan includes a monthly amount of conversation. Long conversations use more of it than short ones, because a companion re-reads the recent exchange every time it replies. The app shows a bar of what is left. It never counts messages, because messages are not equal.
- What happens when it runs out?
- Replies pause until your period renews. On Basic you can move to Pro from the billing portal and keep talking straight away. A trial allowance is one-time, so a spent trial means choosing a plan.
- Can I switch plans?
- From the billing portal. Upgrades apply immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of the period you have paid for.
- Is there a free trial?
- Some invitations include a one-time trial allowance. There is no self-serve trial; if that changes it will say so here.
- What happens if I cancel?
- Access runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Your conversations and memories stay until you delete them or delete the account.
- Can I delete my data?
- Yes — every memory individually, or the whole account. Account deletion starts a 14-day grace window before anything is purged, and restoring within it brings your data back — but deletion cancels your subscription immediately, and restoring does not resume it, so you would check out again to keep talking. Export or full deletion, neither is gated behind a subscription.
- Is tax added at checkout?
- No — $10 or $25 USD is the total charged; nothing is added for tax.
- Can I sign up right now?
- Signup is invite-gated at the moment — you'll need a code to create an account. That's the only gate; the plans above are what it costs once you're in.
